While many people are still skeptical, Network Marketing is one of the fastest growing ways to make money today. While some people still think it is business full of pyramid scams and get rich quick schemes, most people have come to realize that it is a legitimate way to make money. You are your own boss, running your own business. Just like any business, you may succeed, and you may fail. That depends on YOU. Let’s look at how it works, and how you can start your own business today. For the example here, I will use the main opportunity that I work with, Team Beachbody. It works the same way as 95% of network marketing companies out there, and most people can relate to the examples because they are familiar with the products.
OK, What is Network Marketing?
Network Marketing is essentially private franchising. You partner with an already established company, and open your own business promoting their products and/or services. Example – Team Beachbody is the company behind P90X, Insanity, The 21 Day Fix, Body Beast and much more. I am a Team Beachbody Coach. I do not work for them, but I work with them. I promote their products and the coaching opportunity, and in return I receive a 25% discount, 25% commissions and other bonuses based on how my business is doing. I do not make my own fitness programs. I simply refer people to their programs and get paid for it.
Let’s Really Get A Clear Understanding How This Works
- Select a company to join – in this case, Beachbody is the network marketing company that I have selected.
- Pay the membership fee and get access to the resources they offer. I have seen membership fees range from $50 to $5,000. CLICK HERE to get started with Beachbody for $40. Remember, you are starting your own company, so the expenses that you have, like registration and monthly fees, should be tax deductible.
- Use the training and resources that they have provided for you. Most companies have a back office with trainings to help you get started. You may also want to contact your sponsor (the person that you signed up with), to get their help.
- BUILD YOUR BUSINESS! – This is where most people get stuck. How do you build a business. Remember, this is your business, so you have a lot of freedom with that, assuming you don’t violate and policies of the company you joined. Personally, I use a mixture of blogging, video marketing, articles, social media and SEO (search engine optimization). You may want to learn those skills, or maybe you just want to talk to your family and friends. You make the choice.
